Subject: flat battery Question: Wiz, Got a frustrating problem which has just occured. If i dont drive my car for 3 days the battery dies after trying to crank it over say twice. Alternator, starter are high output and only yr and half old. Plus battery is only 2yrs old. What could be causing it to die so fast??? Answer: Electrical short somewhere? Interior light left on? Dodgy earth/poor alternator connection, meaning the battery isn't getting a full charge? Could be anything - Time to whip out a multimeter, or phone a local auto-electrician. |

Subject: oil drain pipe Question: hello Hello Wiz Ive recently bought a grille mounted intercooler (Pro Alloy) which came with a enlarged pipe so as to not catch with the rad, but the silicon hoses from the engine to the oil drain pipe are to small, is the Phase 1 setup (mines an 88, crossover) any different to phase2, which might explain why it doesn't fit? To solve my problem whats the best type of hose, durable, to handle the oil pressure? Hope this makes sense, cheers mate Answer: there is no oil pressure in the oil return pipe- well there shouldnt be unless the engine is breathing heavy! its a drain pipe u see. - ph1 is thin, ph 2 is thick, ph2 is better. |
