how have people done this and retained the oil pump drive? is it as simple as cutting the dizzy up and making a plate to hold it down, or is there a better way?

Glen removed the dizzy on his old efi lump and had a cap in place, possibly a cartridge bearing on the remaining part of the shaft?
just leaving the drive gear in and removing the distruibutor and capping the hole hould it be possible for the drive gear to come up out of its seat?
maybe the drive gear in and then something like a pushrod into the recess in the drive gear and have a plate at the top sitting flush with where the dizzy sits?
any more on this mark?
Wouldnt really want any metal rubbing on metal..... best to have a bearing of some sort
Just cut yours down, once you've done this you can remove the shaft, cut that shorter and push it back in (sit's in the lower bearing). Then just cut a bit of ali and seal it over the top of the whole. Easy as tbh.
That's what I did - works a treat.
