spoke to them this afternoon for some info, very helpful
wont go far wrong andy
i got my turbo from them ,, very helpfull and good price
Thanks everyone - been speaking to them - good common sence people and can get your turbo picked up, and dropped back to you for £15. Can't go wrong.
have you spoken to vince hes a really good guy when it comes to turbos at cr
I found them good to deal with @ CR . I usually deal with Mark.
i got a new wastegate assembly for my t34 from them when no1 else does them.
and loads of people on passionford use them
i've used them before nice blokes!
one of them knows glenn T,he spoke about him and his R11 when i was there last.
Right you guys - between you me TNT Ross and a few others from the PPC brigade, CR seem very reliable.
My turbo has a little front end damage ......
(bought it like this last year) and after some thought have decided to let them have a look, as I thought this may not be the best thing to be having running round just before the inlet side of an engine.
So I made a turbo coffin...................
Closed her up................................
And will be ringing CR Turbo's up tomorrow morning paying them £15 for them to pick up on the same day and get back to me by Tuesday / Wednesday for the good / bad news.
I'll keep posting.
Phoned 9.30 am. Picked up by fed X 12.00.
Got a phone call from Mark @ CR at about 3.30 today. My turbo is a T25 turbine (exhaust) side with a T3 60 trim compressor (air side).
After a bit of a chat he said it would be quite laggy as it is, but as I'm looking for a figure of 200bhp he could fit a smaller compressor wheel with as part of the refurb' as it needs replacing anyway due to damage.
Anyways, he reports that the unit is salvageable with a new compressor wheel, a new shaft and new oil seals.which will be less laggy and will comfortably support 200bhp. not only that, I'll have it back by weekend.
Can't argue with that

Loads of decent info on here.
Mark @ CR (these guys used to do a lot of work for GT Tunning, BBT and K-Tec back in the day) has been back on the phone today and here's what's appertaining.
I'm basically going to get an as good as new turbo back, it's been fully disassembles cleaned and put back together with all new nuts and bolts etc with the following.
- New 360deg bearing (there is very little benefit of roller bearings on smaller turbos according to them guys).
-new oil seals
-I think he said new pistons / piston seals.
-new Compressor dropped from a 60 trim to a 50 trim
-new compressor housing to suit.
I think that was it.
The reason he dropped from the 60 trim T3 to the 50 trim T3 was to reduce lag, he knew what BHP I was after and the smaller 50 trim would happily do that, so a less laggy turbo with the 200 BHP I'm after.
With the .49 T25 rear and this 50 trim T3 this should ideally be quite punchy, not too laggy and not suffer top end too much.
I'll post some pics up as soon as I have it. I should have it back tomorow, not bad going considering I posted it to them on Monday.
The price - £407.00 all in That includes delivery
update please ,some piccys would be nice also. bluepeter stylee
