Now then, just wondering what color caps people have on their expansion tanks?

Any idea what rating the brown ones are? just wondering if I should be using a blue one?

I have been using a brown cap for a few years now without any probs.

From what I here the blue cap has a higher pressure rating (1.5 bar?) which is what I use. I suspect for road use at least either will be fine, although it might be worth someone who's using a brown one to give a blue one a try.....

I have used both brown & blue with no probs I currently have blue fitted to both of mine.

ive got a brown one, under heavy load today it released after a few checks everything seemed ok and I had no further problems...

Im hoping theres not an underlying problem

Blue cap = 1.6 bar
Brown cap= 1.2 bar
