Back in the day it looked sharpe, now it looks a dogs dinner with that yellow and blue clash.
The front bumper is so deep and low that it makes the rest of the car look like its been jacked up, look at how high it sits compared to the front bumper, it just does not look right to me.

This is an excellent thread its really good to see the history of the famous 5's, there are and have been some really special cars mentioned above.
It really gives you the driving force to appreciate these cars even more so...

First post!
Guys thanks for this thread.
Thanks to this I've just bought B5GTT from John at GT Tuning.
It's still exactly the same spec as it was in the last max power article, and although it's been stored for years its in amazingly good condition.
I plan to use it pretty lightly (but enough to keep it good) as I've got a gtr for daily use now.
Any tips for who to insure it with?

Early 30s, will they insure modified cars though?
No, the silver one was B9 GTT. B5 GTT was THE GT Tuning demo car that was the 1/4 mile record holder for several years. It was originally a Raider (Number 1 I believe - There's a piece of A4 paper confirming it), but it was resprayed a bluey/greeny flippy colour.
Say what you like about GT Tuning, the car's a piece of gtt history, and a very big piece at that
It's good to see that it's resurfaced, and I hope to see it one day. Slaterd, hurry up and get it insured, and bring it to our National Day next weekend at Mallory Park![]()
i remember back when i was younger a purple 5 with golf headlights and a split rear screen, i loved that look at the time.
You lucky sod! always wanted B5 GTT, could we be cheeky enough to ask how much you bought her for???![]()
I remember Roly tried selling it years back for a crazy amount. I can't remember the exact figure, but I remember it being typical of GT Tuning's usual pricing structure
It's a legend of a car, and it was my favourite for a long time (back when it was in it's original colour, with TSW Blades)![]()

Thanks! I won't say how much just to be fair to John, but I'm very pleased with it.
It looks pretty well how it did 10 years ago.
See pic attached, I'll add more once I get it back from getting it's MOT and stuff done.
I won't get a chance to bring it next weekend, but definitely next time..
