Which is rarer a Raider or an Electric Blue Phase I on a C plate?
Which is rarer a Raider or an Electric Blue Phase I on a C plate?
ohhhhh COME ON MIKE... raiders are common as muck... i can name 3 local to me.
I rarely see any ph1's in leccy blue!
Mike mike mike, so that one you have stashed away should be worth a mint ... you must have one
Im guessing the phase 1, seeming as there is around 300 raiders left and there are 719 phase 1s left according to the DVLA. Doubt 300 of those are on the C reg let alone electric blue.
Leccy blue i'd say is rare. I wouldnt have a clue how many would be around but i'd guess anyway at no more than 50 odd not even that many
I have 2 D reg ones and one C reg, just thought I would ask.
But are they as rare as the yellow gtt's?
was yellow even a u.k spec
i heard that the paint on the electric blue was thinner than other colours, hence why they rot more than other colours, hence why they are rarer.
Funny how thats got round as i heard the same only this time it was on the pearl white ones as it was hard to get the paint looking right, same story different colour, as for the rust, may have something to do with the minimum amount of protection that was put on the cars.
How about the Electric Blue cross over? I think they're one of the best colours going.
Look at my last pic J
nearly bought one like this..

pphhewww, thats me all photo`d out for today !!!!
i heard the reason why some are more prone to rust is because different factories made different models and used different paints and metals for the shell hence some of them dont have as good protection and rust. this is meant to have been the same with 106's
Wait, that's not the picture from when I was sleeping in the car, is it?
I can see my sleeping bag, but not me. That was back in 2006? At Brunters...
I annoyed so many people that night
Speaking of C reg Ph1s, had a lad come and offer me 3.5k for mine yesturday... So i ermmmmm
Kept it and said noooooo am ok thanks Did i do the right thing???
I've had people calling me about the Raider saying mine's actually very cheap
Makes me wish i'd put it up for the 3.5k to 4k they're going for on Pistonheads. And by one blokes standards, £3.5k buys you a ****ter, which mine is not.
I still class electric blue as one of the rarest colours.
the yellow paint was only available in France wasn't it ? and we got the electric blues over here
Phase 1 tungy grey has to be one of the rarest, did the French not get the electric blue colour as well?
I have seen a LHD GTE before in this colour and figured they may of done a few GTT's in lecky blue too?
ok so are we agreed that:
Tungsten ph1 is EUROPE only.
Yellow ph2 is EUROPE only.
electric blue ph1 wasn't a French colour. - UK only?
electric blue with colour coded bits were actually a ph 1.5 - usually an E reg, similar to the colour coded pearl white cars.
anyone else noticed:
red ph2's are usually F reg?
white cars are usually G/H reg?
I wonder how many phase 1's are left with the unpainted side skirts.
No, it was a Phase 2. There was no fecking Phase 1.5
How about this one. I remember hearing a rumour many moons ago that only 600 UK cars were painted in Electric Blue. Whether that was ph1's and ph2's, or just ph1's, or just ph2's, or was in fact bollox, who knows?
Robby is from Belgium. I think I remember him telling me that they got both Electric Blue and Yellow, but the yellow ones were like gold dust!
