Seems to make more power than Miller and getting so close now et wise, would love to see the breakdown of the two passes side by side.

    Re: 8.38@181 !!

Yeah I've wondered the same thing myself Steve, love to see one brought over for a pass or 2

I've seen the breakdown on Tonys run, he went 135mph @ 1/8th on his 8.38 pass

Now miller went 147mph @ 1/8th testing a few weeks ago, but never made a full pass, so I think it's fair too say that would be a veryyyy low 8.xx@190 maybe

I'm sure we will see soon enough, I doubt he likes Tony in the spotlight lol

But what's really interesting is that his 185.9mph pass was when he bogged 1st gear. More evidence to show that a good launch does not make for a good trap, if anything it detracts from it.

i thought that was a given...

the slower ET runs are almost always with higher mph, you must of had runs like that?

Yes and no, maybe marginally, but most of my runs are much of a muchness within 0.4 seconds so it doesn't seem to bother my trap. Having said that, if I bog it or miss 2nd and run 11.0 give or take the trap is still no better, if anything its lower ! So that information always gave me reason to be unsure about the theory.

But why is it a given ? Of all the racers I speak with none of them have an explanation for that, or even believed that was the case. Guys that have been drag racing for years. Is that a honda tech jem ? Or something more substantial ? Because it's only something I've heard about and have yet to see definitive proof either way. I've even tried simulating it in the drag sim software! The difference in trap is slight.

well yes it is only slight, but even in our d16, our best 10.95 was at 130, but it ran 11.0@132.5 on another run with a slower 60`. only marginal, % wise prob same as tony`s runs variance.

the best way ive heard it explained is that on a slower run the car has more time to gather speed, hardly mathmatical fact though
