    Re: Aeroquip Connectors

I have the oil feed pipe, at present I have the connector which comes out the back of the F7P block. Last time round it then had a 90 degree bend which went into a T piece which fed the oil line to the turbo and the oil pressure sensor. I thought I could get away with have the T piece straight to the connector into the block, however the manifold is in the way and will melt the oil pressure sensor. So will have to bend the connector round for it to it properly. Or block off however not sure what size the hole is

Other question, would it be wise having a nylon washer or something along that line between the block and the connector, would this give a better connection between the two and stop the leak. Also thread seal for the rest of the joins?

If its a bulkhead fitting going into the block id use a copper washer. The m/f fittings should seal ok without thread tape?

Did look at using like the oil sump washer as had one laying about, just slightly too big, but something along those lines then.

Yea i would for sure. If you can get a copper washer even better, will allow you to tighten it up more and get a better seal!

Take the union with you (if you can) and they'll sort you out over the desk!

I just keep buying cars, they prefer them not sitting around for a while so they are always willing to help when they get a chance. Still need to fit that gearbox in the convertible, wonder if I can get them to fit it whilst im getting extremly drunk this weekend
