after alot of bodywork, removing rust, smoothing pretty much everything...:

    Painted:

    Then this came:

    Coilovers and Porsche C2 rims:

The standard engine had a healthy 120,9 Hp at the wheels..

Half a year later it popped... so we started with the turbo plans...

subframe, all new parts or refurbed:

Fully rebuild engine with dished standard pinstons...:

Intercooler and oil cooler on the left:

    'finished':

little refitting with pipes and stuff...:

At the dyno it would go nicely to the 200 Hp at the wheels, but I wasn't very lucky, the gearbox started leaking, so the mapping was stopped...

At this time the engine is out again, spare gearbox on with a new clutch and a brand new turbo, and some other modifications, pictures will be on here shortly...
Also putting on full clio sport brake setup on the front...

    That's about it for now

is that a .49 exhaust housing? if so it's quite small for a 1.8L engine.

I'd say so, you don't usually get the raised lugs for the brackets on the .64's

    Is the turbo even Garrett?

It's an .49 exh, and it's not a garret, it's a custom turbo from MB Carperformance in holland...

    Update!

Engine back in, few mods done to it; throttle body moved to the other side, Clio 172 brakes on, new, wider wheels, lowered a bit more...

Dyno and mapping at 16 may...

Yesterday was D-Day at the dyno, the result... will upload the graph. later...

    R19 16v low boost turbo:

At 0,7 bar boost. (still pretty safe)

    191,1 HP
    247,7 NM

This in HP at the wheels, for figures at the fly, you need to ad some more...

I was very happy with the result, not bad for a low-budget turbo conversion.
