Any brave people driving there 5 to work in the snow today? Dont know what its like everywhere else but im SO glad i wasnt in the 5.

my cars in th garage
thank god
hopefully ill get it back this week some time and the snow will be long gone
i hate the drivin in the snow
There's a foot of snow in my garden, I have NEVER seen anything like this! I had to abandon my car on the way to work and walk home, and it looks like plenty of others have done the same.
And to top it off, i've just seen some bloke going through my village on skies
lol, i wonder how long hes had those skies waiting for this very day to come.
I had to abandon my van at bottom of the hill and walk to work as did lots of others, never seen it happen before.
I was up at 4:00am this mornin to drive to Barnstaple & got as far as the A1/M25 Junction before i called it a day & drove home!
Nothing could get up the sliproad at the junction so i figured rather than just sit there & freeze i'd go back home!!
Some of the truck drivers deserve a slap though! I wasnt getting any traction in my Mondeo so driving very gingerly at 10 - 20 mph & next thing a truck came by at about 50mph!! Good luck stopping that mate!
I've had to drive the Vee to work, which was interesting
Surprisingly, for the first time in years, I woke up to snow outside of my window today! The last time it snowed as much as this was back in 1987, and it's actually sticking! Driving to work in the BMW was pretty sketchy, even in 3rd gear on a hill was skidding pretty badly going around 5mph
i remeber once droppin of someone on the tiniest little slope in a street and my whole car just slid away...i was in the brown pants club.
i hateeeeeeeeeeee drivin in the snow because of that.
so dangerous and as for those big lorry drivers...its ashame so many die because of guys like tht
HELP! The snow has settled in Bournemouth for the first time in YEARS. Roads closed, traffics at a standstill...
Can someone please send food parcels?
Ahh don LOVE Subaru AWD
I just had a browse at the traffic reports on the AA website:

I crashed my Rover last night, going a whopping 5mph, I must of slid about 50ft, down a slope aswell, the car just wouldn't stop. I actually hit a car that had already crashed though, so the other fella didn't seem bothered, and by the time I bumped into him I was only doing about a foot a second. Not a scratch either, I just got out, checked it over, spoke to the fella and drove off.... Awesome.
When you off to work Bill?

Drove the old girl in to work at 7 this morning no probs apart from blending in with the snow
My trusty feet got me to work, although the bus did slide about a bit, tad worrying.
It's only just started getting heavy though...so I may get stuck here (yay)
my dam metro wont move so i dought ill attempt driving the 5 haha
i slipped and slid the willy all the way this morning........ahem
The phase1 this morning when i eventually dragged myself out of the warm bed-
Quick brush off, warm up and i made it the 24miles to work nah bother at all
never seen centre of london like this its a white out and no work dont know whats better
Well after canceling todays lesson's i decided to go to tesco and get some shopping.
The drive there werent to bad, on the way home took a de-tour via a quiet industrial estate and boy did i enjoy yanking the hand brake and getting some serious side ways action.
Around the corner i cam along 2 police car's...they to were playing about in the snow.
Be safe everybody.
Well down here in darkest Devon its a lovely day! I am tucked up in the garage getting a sneaky few hours done on the rebuild! Although i am contemplating getting the wetsuit out and going to Bantham for a bit of longboard action as its such a beautiful day!
I took these this morning after the guv gave us a bell to say, don't come in...
and I took this a little later on when the light came out a bit more, I thought it looked quite nice...
Well, have been sent home to work via VPN. I luckily got home just before I was due to start lunch so here I am. Come 2pm though I'm working though, bums...still better than being in work though
Ads, your Raider looks awesome covered like that!
I'm laughing @ all those cars that don't work though lol, sort it aaaaaaaaaaart
The Rover works fine, and technically the other two run, I just can't start them
Car graveyard apparently
I got a phone call from the boss as well telling me not to come in to work
Plenty of snow down here for a change, usually crap with living so close to the sea. Work expected me to survey in this weather, i think not Been out on site & the roads are down to crawling speed even though the main roads are clear.
As for cars if i used my r5 daily id drive it nae bother. Last time i used mine in the snow i recall it sliding all over the shop, proper fun
my front bumper fell off my 306 then to top it off i ploughed into a bush at work hahaha good times .
well done boris no congestion charge today finally a bit of common
I love snow days. It took over 2 hours to get from mine to Watford, got to watch a Lexus spin out big time on the big ring-road
So glad I get picked up for work, I hate driving in snow, especialy in the dark, then its like Star Wars.
I've just got back from Birmingham...
I can't believe the amount of pricks there are on the road
Maybe I notice it more because I'm conscious of my little girl being in the car but there is no need to be driving in the manner I've just witnessed in the conditions on the motorways at the moment !!!
Tossers
I've just made a snowman, do you like it? I took the inspiration from my weekend
My two 5's this afternoon!
Drove nicole , the old trusty to an from work , neigh worries..kinda.., then i reduced a 40ft beech tree in the snow...couldnt tell the snow from the sawdust an damn was it slippery...
Yeah drove the old ph1 to work no worries. Working on an old airfield i went out at lunchtime and had some fun on the disused taxiways...........quality fun, and nothing to hit !!
