Speedo stuck?
Alright chaps, first minor issue since I bought the car on Friday, drove to work this morning and the speedo stuck at 85mph, then stayed there until I came off the dual carriage way and slowed to around 30mph where it suddenly jumped back down and started reading again? Any idea's guru's? Cheers!

Private road of course
It you remove the front cover does it stick still? Wouldn't be wire related as it will return back to 0 if that is playing up.

Re: Speedo stuck?
Unfortunatley this is quite a common issue - you should feel lucky that the speedo was even working at all
Just start with checking all the wiring connections. Take them off, Make sure they are clean and connected properly, follow the wiring checking for any damage
There are three connections - behind the clocks, on the passenger strut tower and on the gearbox itself under the rear engine mount, with the gearbox connection, there is a securing clip to help hold it in place make sure thats present and fitted properly too.
