running out of things to paint at last ....
Has Bric got a towing eye cover you can paint ??????
Dave,
Your not gonna open a body shop down south anytime soon are you?
Dont suppose you know of a transporter company do you? That would deliver from southeast to yours?
Bric's just bought a ktr-kombat front bumper with a kindgom nova kit bonded on, he was hoping you hadn't painted the standard bumper yet...
What's left to do then?
Scoff - you wish.
bric your car has come along way so nice , its even cleaner than mine was love it good work dave ,got wait to get my restro project started when i find a five lol
keep up the good work
thats coming on nicely the paint finish looks fantastic im not a fan of that colour though but looks good never the less
Fair play to that man nice job, full re-paints like that can be a right pain. With some graphite colour rims would look sweet as.
graphite rims with some nice bodycolour lips
Did Bric get the seat mod he was after???
Ya know the one where the wheels are connected to a dildo in the base of his seat.
up and down up and down.
Collected the car today - looking shweeeeet! Cheers Dave

When you haven't got a garage, it's the next best cheap option
Don't knock the garage, Ray Mears would be proud of that.
The paint jod looks stunning. Keep the pics rolling in man.
just out of interest are 5 doors easy to swap over/line up etc ? also ive stored cars in tents a few times, there is a subaru on my mates back garden at the moment.

Did a few little bits today..
Rolled out of its home
Started putting the tailgate wiring in, rubber, etc
One rear window in
And another
An arty farty picture with my bro's VR6 in the background
A dash I bought (because mine had some holes in it). Pretty fookin messy! You can't see it really, but it has quite a bit of over spray on it, however I sorted the most of that today and I'll take some piccies tomorrow when I fit it.
bric, have you thought about flocking the dash before you fit it.? i think it'd look kinda swish
Thought about it, but I don't think I will. If I decide I want to, I have a very clean campus dash I may do it with
That looks ****...
....yea...****...**** HOT more like
looking good oli , chop chop
Sound deadening in
Matrix in
Dash in
After a good clean. Note the leatherette is damaged along the edge. It looks like it was damaged whilst removing a windscreen. Still, not very easily noticed, and will be less noticeable with the windscreen / seals in.
Won't be able to do anything next weekend, but will the weekend after, so stay tuned kids!
good work you made that look easy.
i need to fit a new heater matrix and if its one job i refuse to do its got to be removing the dash.i point blank refuse to do it as i know it'll whind me up i attempted it on my old 5 never again
Looks great mate, hurry up and get it back together
happy days mate come and help me to put mine back together ,cant even take it a part without hitting a dead stop
Not much progress this weekend either. Was gonna be putting the engine in today, but other things came up. Yesterday got the engine ready to go in (pretty much)..
Just a few piccies:
Gearbox off
Old clutch off
Old clutch
New clutch
Clutch fitted
New release bearing fitted
And then other stuff I didn't take photos of - Putting all the loom back on, alternator on, etc.
Just need to drain the oil and change the filter and the engine should be back in next weekend.
Looking good bric mate
hold up!
bric, are you putting that tatty looking engine in this car
i thought you would have at least gave the engine a degrease and a lick of paint to freshen it up.?
Yeh - decided I will spray the block, rocker cover, and other stuff. Going to get a few bits powder coated. Spent today taking off the subframe etc - Pictures to come.. just uploading them.
OK - So.. Decided I want to be more thorough when rebuilding. I was just gonna throw it all in, as it was before, but I decided I'd get some stuff cleaned up / repainted.
Before:
Removed the subframe and all the other crap:
Then removed the struts / steering rack / hubs / driveshaft all in one from the subframe
Also found a nice surprise
Hole in the sill! Looks like my Dad will be using his MIG soon
My cars new home - the tent was trying to take off with the wind, and has damaged the paintwork on the gutter plastics. Not too big a deal.. I'll just get some sprayed up at some point

Lookin v nice bric!!!! kana wait to see the engine go in Car covers n wind are a bloody nightmare! Nice work m8ty!
Did the doors today and yesterday (thanks to Deano for the sleeves - top bloke!)
This was the worst hinge (note how off centre it is)
My dad doing all the hard work
Pushing a sleeve in (and some nice brand placement)
Sleeve in
All greased up!
Right door
Left door
It's tonnes better now - it all lines up, and there is absolutely NO play in the doors! Pretty happy with it all (did it to all 4 hinges)
I also did some more stripping of the subframe ready for powder coating. The wishbone bushes were an absolute bitch!
