Renewed last week and went with HIC - £165.53 with mods declared, fully comp and limited mileage of 1500. I tried;
Footman James - hopeless as they didn't even get back to me so I wouldn't recommend them
Peter James wanted £246.21
Peter Best wanted £227.04
The only thing that worries me is HIC are a sister company of Adrian Flux

I always had great service from HIC
Did you also try James Peter, Footman Best or Peter Footman?

Yeah I think they asked about BHP and I told them it would be about 150BHP (which it might or might not be) I told them it's garaged part year but during the summer it's parked on the drive.
