Thanks Al, yes, like i've said it's nice to know people are still wanting them.
But to me it's strange to see a group buy on a batch of downpipe's as i've never said that im deffo. going to make any more
Gauging intrest from others to try and persuade me to make more is fair enough, appreciated, but in a dragon's den stylee 'im out'
So just to clear things up, if for some reason I was to make more in the future I will make it known on the boards, please no more pm's about downpipes. Thanks.

So it seems Jim is the only option right now?, is there enough intrest to make a batch yet Jim?
Im unsure if it was you who made the msm d/p I saw all that time ago, but it did look nice and I liked the idea of the pipe being bent in one peice.
Perhaps some pics could be supplied to get more people intrested? Like the clearence when fitted to the car, how the pipe is welded/shaped to the flange?
No offence intended Jim, im sure your work is good, but im sure pic's/more info would help people commit to buy your d/p... but as it is, its an unknown.

But let's give Jim a chance. If Boris say's they look good they can't be too bad. Surley someone has a pic. I wonder if Jim will make 1 or 2 to start the ball rolling? If so I'll be interested.

I guess I should have been checking this thread!

I'm afraid I haven't got any pics, but as has been said, someone must have one. It wasn't THAT long ago I made them...

I am loathe to make one or two, because it means making the flanges by hand and that is just a pain in the 'arris. Sorry to be mercinary but it's simply a question of cost. Buying just a couple of bends and making flanges means it all works out more expensive.

Hope someone's got some pics, then maybe I'll have enough orders to make it happen.

By the way, no offence taken

Fair play and I can understand that making one or maybe two could be expensive, but if you provide pics of a down pipe knocked up you could sell loads. Its a small risk on your part, what is it going to cost to make a protype £200?

    Re: downpipe

I hope it's been worth the wait, but here it is. 2 1/2" o/d, flanges on this one are MS 'cos I wasn't making them out of stainless by hand (if you've never worked with it, it's nasty stuff!). The "production" version will have all laser cut stainless flanges and any bosses you want, anywhere you want them!

    downpipe1.jpgdownpipe2.jpgdownpipe3.jpg

£150 +p&p. Once we've enough interest, we can sort out deposits and get the ball rolling.

If anyone wants one with a non std flange you'll need to let me have a template so I can see if the flange I have made can be universal, otherwise I'm afraid it'll have to incur a cost.

any chance of a close up pic of the turbo mount? and the exhaust end. thanks

if so ill be 100% taking one, cash ready. put me down

I like it Jim. My only question is I am running a T25 pinched from a Rover 220, The T2 elbow fits but I can only use 3 of the 4 bolts. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this turbo so how much extra will the downpipe be to sort this?

I used to have a template of the t25 flange but it was only thin card and I think it's disintegrated. I'm pretty sure though that the flange can be made universal, in which case there will be no difference in cost.

Once there's enough interest (ie deposits received - I've been around too long to take anybodies word on orders!!) then I shall crack on.

would it be possible to have a t2 flange with an extra lug on to fit t25 aswell?
this allows both users to buy the same one meaning you only have to get one batch made up not two

also i may be changing my turbo so may need a t25 flange aswell

how many people you after for first batch?

That's what I meant about it being universal...
