Once my engine is out I will be making some adjustments to my cam timing. I have a std engine with 285cam etc.
My previous turbo setup was a T28 with 0.49 rear end. I set the cam to 110deg for this. The car was mainly used for back road/country lane blasting so I chose to time it this way to utilise spool and get on boost as quick as possible. My preferred routes didn't have great straights so it was difficult to rev to 7k+.
My new setup will involve a vnt.
So my question is...... What have you guys set cam timing to when running a vnt?
I would like maximum power, so do you think 114deg is ideal? Or maybe stick to pipers recommended 112
