    Wing mirror seperation

Hi all I have to RH side wing mirrors here one from my phase one and the other off a phase 2.

I'm trying to seperate the mirror housing from the bracket which it pivots on but I am not sure how, both mirrors have slightly different retention pins or whatever you call it but I can't figure out how to remove either.

    Any tips?

    Me Too!

I think they're assembled by a machine because as soon as you un-hook the bracket holding the mirror housing to the door bracket you can't pull it back.

dont remember how exactly i have done it but managed to
fit r5 mirror cases on to r9 mounts in the past ,there is a spring
loaded mechanism inside the pivot arm once you get past the
plastic cover thingy ,you got to compress the spring using a pair of
pliers and pull whatever is locking it into place out (iirc some kind of circlip )
