Re: White block
God in heaven don't do it, I painted my engine white once, it looked horrible and the tiniest of leaks stained it :/

Re: White block
Pic's in my profile.
So don't have tiny leaks Or get in there quickly and wipe 'em off.
The big advantage was that I could see all those tiny leaks and straight away monitor if anything was wrong as there should not be any leaks.
It lasted well enough. Some eventual slight yellowing in places where I stopped being as attentive to dirt as I had oil blowing from the dump valve for a while; between starting using 24psi boost and fitting catch tank. After that it was OK again.
I liked being able to see what I was doing in the engine bay. I'd do a white block again.

I went white block, chrome rocker and red hoses. There are a few pics on the Facebook page somewhere. Looked good.

Re: White block
I also had plenty of bling and some red hoses. Also some Blue hoses, but an unusual lighter blue I found second hand.
I used Hammerite smooth. It chipped badly and I had to keep touching in with a tiny brush / stick / etc.
