I bet that's a great feeling seeing the engine sat in!
yer it was so nice to fit it for the last time... just want to start it up now
Awesome work, looks a good snug fit in the bay
its a very snug fit! i should be working on it next saturday so pop down as its only down the road from you james
Looking good buddy!
If your not, your be silly not to use Hondata Kpro ECU.
Oh, and I don't see no turbo.....
Thanks mate.
Im using standard ECU for now but will defo going for the hondata one asap.
No no turbo yet but thinking about it.
Hows yours coming along?
so all the welding has been done. just the electrics to sort out now
also picked this up at the weekend.
Getting close now buddy. Have you got drive shafts sorted yet?
top work, not long now!
no not yet.. really stuck on that one
I need to sort it ASAP as i want the car on the road for june.
My plan is to use the gtt ones and the civic ones, which shouldn't be much of a problem as your not turboing your set up, or at least not at the moment. There professional company's that can mate the two if you tell them the lengh they need to be, ie reuse the gtt hub end and k20 gearbox ends and build the rest to spec of choice or copy the patterns and make them upto what spec and power rating you require if that makes sense.
Yer i might have a look at it this weekend. fingers crossed my fuel pump turns up this week and i can try and start it on friday
Iirc gtt shafts are hollow, k20 shafts are solid.
Cut them up, hope the diameter fits the inside dia of the gtt shaft and weld them together. Works perfectly fine!
Even with alot of power!
On my car i will be using the (Deadhead) system but can not find a fuel regulator that will do the job......
Can anyone help me as i don't fancy buying a new fuel rail so i can use the return system.
is it a option for the rail to be drilled and tapped out for a pipe fitting to be installed.
I was thinking about that. or just spending the money and getting a new fuel rail..
think i have got a fuel reg that will work now
Harry, any 3 port reg should do the dead head. You are returning at the regulator. I'm led to believe that flow through the rail is the better option for mapping.
Yer im returning at the reg for now. I will get a new rail so i can get the flow through the rail but for now this will do.
the Honda has a odd standard set up thats for sure...
Really keen to turn the key for the first time this weekend
Harry, you need to update this thread dude, I saw the cheeky video on facebook of it running
What James said 👍
I will be updating it tonight with more pics
Harry looking really good, what colour you going? or sticking with the tungy? You got any clips to video's of it running
yer i have the vid of it running! I will up load it on to youtube later its have now painted it so will up load more pics tomorrow
Great thread
Really respect people doing things out of the norm
What power does it make? Awesome engines!
its just a tad over 200bhp at the mo but will be making a few mod to get it about 230-240bhp.
Just imagine how many people spend thousands just to get the same power what you're at now
yer the whole build has been done by myself and a make or two.. really doing it on a small budget.
I love it when RTOC gives me a good spray job
I need an update on this bad boy. STAT!
Looks like Harry is no longer a member guys and this thread is not in general chat so he can't see your msgs.
