My new Tungy 5

Hi guys, a month or so ago, I drove from Leeds to Swansea with a trailer to view a 5. Luckily I was able to agree a price with it's owner, 13 hours after setting off, my new 5 was back in Leeds.

Reason I bought it? I just don't have the spare time to finish my current resto on my black 5 thread "meet Bajjer" so my black 5 will be sold as spares or repair.

Will update the thread. I have already replaced indicators, side reps and front fogs to o.e. Euro n/s cluster also fitted, but may revert back to o.e with that too.

Buckets are provisionally sold and the interior is to be replaced with that of my black 5.

The azev alloys are also on borrowed time as I um and ahhhh over fitting some standard items I have

The blue samcos are for sale as I revert to a more o.e look with my new black hoses.

S117 turbo technics and bms downpipe off my black 5 will be bolted to this Tungy.

LOADS of parts for sale now that my black 5 will no longer be finished by me, I'm gutted, but the Tungy is a real nice example.

Will update the thread of my new Tungy as I go!

The youth in me wants to keep the stripped out look, but due to the demand for the more o.e look now being where the money is, it's looking like I will be fitting my standard trim

Lee, the tungy looks great love the Azev A's great looking wheel on the 5. I know the feeling thought with lack of time I done the same thing with my last tungy hence I got the white 5 majority of work done on the white one that I needed to do to the Tungy.

It's amazing how you think " il take the 5 off the road to just do a quick job" then before you know it, it's a shell and a few years later it's still not on the road

Gary not finished it yet I suppose it did need some welding and a full respray (50 shades of grey), I am glad he has stuck with it will be nice once done a rare J plate Tungy non sunroof 5.

My new 5 is very nice as with all 5's always needs something doing to it

So bit of an update on this. Been mega busy selling all my spares over winter and also been busy putting my own mark on this.

Since last update I have fitted new gaz coilovers inc wheel alignment, replaced buckets with oe interior, changed the engine bay from blue to black inc a gt tuning breadbin, will be mot'd over next few days ready for spring
