Just wondered how many member there are in the club now? I mean real Rtoc members not the in-between clubs members. Just a thought

Well says 494 members, so guessing in region of 450 when you remove the traders and inbetweeners
That's going to be pretty difficult to assess as you don't know until they re-sign but I think we can be honest and say the "schism" has not been the best thing that could have happened to the club. Not been on the other site since my access was 'restricted' but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise that a dwindling number of cars spread over two forums, members are going to be thin on the ground.
I joined but I haven't been on the other site.. I was just wondering that's all as the names on the side of the site are getting shorter by the day.. There maybe troubles ahead all a shame really as mentioned before I don't mind what event it is if there's cars I'm there can the club stand the test? Free membership will temp many I think
i was under the impression it had gone up for 600 to 640 active members. thought we had increased slightly.
There are 3630 registered users - most have literally just registered and never posted.
There are 414 paid members. It's hovered around this figure for a while.
There are 645 active members. I'm not altogether sure what 'active' actually means in regards to them. I think it's possible people that have registered and posted on the boards within a certain time scale. This figure fluctuates but has increased slightly of late.
I'm a paid up member, and regularly read the boards (more than once a day)
But rarely post.
I imagine there's a lot like me.
Even people who are on the other site log onto this site regular
250 members have logged in this month
We're doing ok, certainly in new/member numbers, if not in aimless chatter on the boards.
Whatever effect the other club has/had, all R5-based clubs have trouble ahead. We're all moving along a well-trodden route of becoming niche/specialist due to declining car numbers.
What is important for RTOC's longevity is the database of information stored on our website. If we lose that again now (as we have before) it's a different kettle of fish.
It's quieter here also, because there was a glitch in the payments system and we found that about 270 people had full membership that they weren't paying for.
IIRC, about 40 of those were regulars, many vocal, many quite long time members who'd been a bit dishonest really about the £10 or £15 for years, and a lot of them didn't re-join when that loophole was closed. That caused a lot of the quietness, possibly more than the effect of there being another on-line other club. Although that being free, possibly incentivised the 'freeloaders' from here to use that forum instead. Many didn't own a Renault any more, they just wanted somewhere to chat. We have the open General Chat board but that perhaps was not enough for people used to more.
Spammers are in that list, there were hundreds of them, I'm don't know now how many. I expect it's mostly ex-members who won't be back. I did a prune the other year of registered uses who'd never posted and not logged on for some months, that deleted many hundreds, a lot were spammers.3630 registered users.Or perhaps just logged on. IIRC, it's the most recent three months.645 active members. I think it's people that have posted on the boards within a certain time scale.
Not altogether sure if I'm honest. They should have a red banner at the top of the screen reminding them to renew but for some reason the system Is not automatically moving them into registered users once it lapses.
Now we know about it it not a huge deal as we can sort it but I'd like to have it fixed.
im still here . value the club very much. and if there be another place or forum we always say join the club, best money for advice you can get. altho i dont post much or go on often, somtimes with my work family ect many could agree you dont have the time to. especial if your sometimes overseas like myself. but i canny wait to log in and see whats going on, whats new, whats happend, ect. there are been there done that vetrions with the knowledge on which us new renault owners aspire to gain same status of know how to help other new renault members. id like to post my f7p con and full resto. need to keep the club alive indeed. and if we have to make a wee post now and again, if we are able to.. then i will. i feel if the club were to end id probs be aswell drop the renaults and get a push bike ha ha.
