    Clutch help

Hi guys, took the car to get steering tracked and it didn't make for nice driving. I have to push the clutch fully to the floor to be able to change gear. I have a new green box clutch in and a soft pedal conversion what could be wrong.

There's a plastic ratchet thing to adjust the cable on the clutch pedal, most likely will want resetting.

    Re: Clutch help

if you have a soft pedal arm fitted you have to adjust the clutch by letting the clutch pedal come up further from the floor by taking out the plastic stop out, beside the reverse light switch, if get stuck tomorrow Charlie ring my irish number 0863900119

Hi turbo ted, that seems to have done the trick, haven't went for a drive yet but just putting it in and out of gear is a lot better. Just one question do I put the plastic block back in again as the pedal sits very high. Cheers

you can put the plastic block back in but you will need to file down the block to suit until you get gears right, I would start by halving the plastic block thickness and work from there regards rob.
