Doesnt start because of humidity?
Hello,
my 5 doesnt start. At first it started and run on 2 maybe 3 cilinders and then it stoped. Now it doesnt start again.
I took dizzy cap of and noticed som humidity, also there was some water on the gasket/ dust cover under the dizzy cap.
I can hear the pump buzzing.
The car was parked for 5-6 months and was working fine bfore...
Is it because the humidity?
Thanks,
Martin

Is your accelerator pump lever seized??

Re: Doesent start becouse of humidity?
Im not sure what acc pump lever is but the accelerator moves freely. It feels like ts moveing at the carb. Also the choke is working. The car is cough now and then but doesent start.
Must check if all the plugs are giving sparks. I took 1 out but it didnt spark. Should I put the plug next to the metal?
Thanks,
Martin

Take the carb top off a spray a bit of 'cold start' in there during the start. If it fires up, it's probable fuel related. If the same fuel has been stuck in there for a few months it won't be at its best.

Re: Doesent start becouse of humidity?
Hello,
today i checked the spark plugs and they were all soked with fuel. Also there was spark. I also tryed to put some fuel in the carb and nothing.
Is there any sensor or something, the car didnt sound like theres any ignition in cilindrers at all.
The car was working fine before I parked it and it was parked for 2 years in the garage. I did start the car few months ago and it sounded like it was running on 3 cilinders. Now it doesent start. Will try the starter spray. Any other sugsestions, as the car is parked a long drive away.
Thanks,
Martin
