The Clio prior to the weekend:
The original DCI at the ring
Must get back there next year
goes well
Handling was great, brakes weren't and also the power isn't
Had lot's of fun though!
Standard dci 100
Considering a remap but need to buy a new intercooler first. It's completely clogged up between the fins
Megan 225 intercooler fits well and about triple the size of a standard DCI one
But would need custom fitting right?
it won't be the problem but since it's the daily i don't want to much of a hassle to fit it.
thanks for the hint though, will take it into consideration
What size are your wheels tutuur and what suspension are you using?
The car looks great dude
Still have to test fit but i found a dacia logan intercooler has the same dimensions for the hoses etc but is 1,5x as high as the dci 100 intercooler. Also mounting points are different.
Only cost me €90 plus shipping brand new!
The wheels are 16" ultraleggera's and it's lowered on cheap old vmaxx's. Have a set of h&r monotubes ready to be installed but i'm thinking of fitting them after winter...
How many cars do you own You certainly like to tinker nice wheels too
They suit the car really well look really good ive always liked the clio in that shape and wheels and a drop make it look even better
@Nad
Only 3, i know people who own alot more!
@jp
Thnx mate, imo it's all a good looking car needs to finish it of.
Nice wheels with proper stance!
Front needs lowering a bit more though as the arches need to be filled more
The wheels are kinda rare too, only thing i could find where lemans replica 16" in 7j or 9j, these are 8" wide with stretched 195/40/16 tires.
Lowered the front another 1,5cm till i had no more thread left, this is without rear adjusters (only springs) and front wound down till there was only a few mm left to be able to untie the lock ring:
It does hit the rear arch a little bit so have to make the bumpstops a bit thicker and/or use some 0,5 degrees camber shims...
Taking her to the ring again coming weekend:
Done tracking today and broke in the new brakes, what a difference!!
just arrived home after a weekend at the Ring, unfortunately it has been raining at the Ring all weekend so all i did was 1 half wet/half dry lap yesterday afternoon and none today.
however we had a tour through the Eifel on saturday which was loads of fun!
here's a little gopro footage to give you an impression of the Dci working its ass off through the German Eifel!

still have 3 laps left so think i'll be there again soon
been there again yesterday, managed a 9:57 lap with the Dci
