either you didn't calibrate it right or it's buggerd, you won't have 10.5:1 at idle.
i usually setup around 14.7 -15.4 its happy enough to idle at that , i set the idle to 800 rpm then play with the mixture screw . i did have mine setup in the low 16s at one point and the car idled happily but on another engine it would cut out at this. As scoff says you would do rather well to idle at that anything under 13 it normally cuts . Tbh my lc1 was cack ive gone back to the lm1 as the lc1 gave very very poor readings like 19 at wot even though the lm1 says 12.1
anyone??
Further to this problem i switched on today and my db gauge is now flashing constant with a reading of 7.4 WTF????
and the led is double flashing?
in answer to the pm, I have no idea, sorry. I hate lc-1's, they caused me nothing but headache, I had so many different problems. maybe this is just another to add to the collection.
what does the manual suggest ? failing that, graham goode (or wherever it came from) might know.
sack the lc1 mate i had nothing but trouble as i said and im not the only one
I've banished all memory of lc-1 from my mind, I don't recall exactly. all kinds of ****, readings would stick on any given number, it would read too rich sometimes, suddenly start working when it wanted too. I fitted a bunch of others for people too, most of those had issues afterward OR wouldn't run at all. your flashing problem is a new one on me.
I didn't use the led or button, I did the auto calibrate.
I also didn't use the button to calibrate, but I did (temporarily) fit the LED, just to make sure it wasn't at fault. Make sure you connected the gauge to the LC1's brown wire (which is analog output 2)... connecting it to the yellow wire (analog output 1) gives a simulated narrow band signal. Don't connect the yellow wire to anything. Recalibrate as per manual and let us know if you got it right.

i put it back in the box and left it on my shelf at my unit and bought a 2nd hand LM1 that was known to be working....
i tried a new sensor, an old sensor, a cleaned old sensor.... nothing changed.
What is the alternative for LC-1?
i lost the receipt, and it was one of the graham goode original group buys. i kept it on the shelf for ages.- owned it for over a year?
i also tried to update the firmware - didnt work either.
Mate... you didn't respond to my previous replies... did you check the things I suggested??
me or mr turbo?
i tried all suggestions, they didnt work, hence why i bought an lm1.
Hey guys just went to the garage just now and started my car and low and behold my lc1 seems to be behaving itself no more flashing 7.4 constantly.....So i've whipped the sensor out anyway and will give it a little clean for when i plan to refit it anyone got any ideas what to clean a sensor with??? So happy days i've now taken the car to have the FMIC piping sorted.....Like hannibal would say " don't you just love it when a plan comes together " Before i go one quick question can playing with the mixture screw cause flashing readings or playing with settings on a laptop???
I wish I knew mate... sorry...
