Oversize Bleed Nipples
As above. Anyone know where I can pick these up, specifically for the rear calipers?
The threads are shot on mine, and even PTFE tape can't stop it leaking. Don't want to bin the caliper, as the lever arms for the handbrake etc are in great nick, so I'm looking to drill and tap and place some new nipples in.
Anyone know where to source these?

Re: Oversize Bleed Nipples
I've obtained some from Pirtek in the past Bill... but seeing as you were there the other day I guess you've tried them.
ebay?
In fact, i've got some bleed nipples in the garage... I THINK they might be oversized as I had the same issue with a caliper for the last MOT... havnt got a vernier though so cant measure the thread accurately. Can shot a couple up in the post tomorrrow if its any help?
Scratch that... working on the car with Beardo tomorrow... he might have one... 2 secs, i'll make a call...

Cheers Tim, the problem only came to light today when I was cleaning up and bleeding the back brakes.
If yer man has a few spare bigger blled nips, I'd appreciate a couple chucked into an envelope

Aren't the calipers tapered thread? that's going to be a job finding anyone to do an oversize thread. I'd have thought you'd have to helicoil it, and that's not something i'd like the get involved with on a thin fluid like hydraulic
