It's got the potential to be - It's plug n' play, no welded on trigger wheel & sensor to worry about, the o.e rev counter will still work, it has some nice features, retains the o.e look, little, if any, additional wiring, designed & supported by a GTT enthusiast.
Only moot points I can see thus far...
- It's an unknown quantity on a modified engine.
- The map scaling isn't the greatest, but not the end of the world.
- We haven't seen the software yet.
- Would be nice if the internal map sensor read more than 1.5bar, but again, not the end of the world, except it'll cost to upgrade to the 3bar type, then there's extra wiring (albeit only 3 wires), so it then loses its 'all in one box' appeal.
- The cost.
As far as I'm concerned though, bar the cost, the pros of this aeiP definitely outweigh the cons
