My 1990 r5 gtt project

Hi, Just bought this 1990 r5 gtt wasn't intended to be a project but need quite a bit of work on it so I'll make a thread about it

The car is in reasonable condition has been resprayed but isn't the best job..actually pretty far from it.

Someones had a go at the electrics and gave up























And here is the reason i fell in love with 5's my old campus i've owned since i was 16



It's not a huge project just correcting all the things that have been bodged

I have no idea how the electrics are meant to be so if anyone knows where there is a diagram it'll be much appreciated

Thanks its a gt tdi my daily driver lovely cars though and go well for diesels too

Haha how weird is that both from the same year too

I'm going to keep the car pretty much as it is bodywork wise will give it a full detail when i get a chance and try to repair the poor paint in areas

i want to get all the electrics sorted as most of the wires have been damaged but the interior will probably stay as it is too

i want to get it running perfectly and tune the engine a little (not sure exactly what yet)

Will get it up on stands soon and see what shes like underneath and repair any damage and underseal it
