Thanks for the heads up Matt

    Re: 172 turbo project

Are you missing a side repeater as I have one in the top of my box. Can drop it off sat eve if so. I also have a spare clutch cable which you can have too if your not going to buy new.
Regards the lights, I'm thinking its the light stalk as I think it was a campus one do start with that.
Does the bumper not fit on as I assumed where you mounted the cooler it would be ok? If so its worth keeping the bumper as it is.
Also remember the front brake flexi's

i like the green, but as mines grey and orange i dont think my opinion counts!
bit different to the norm and as its for track use why not. suprised you haven't gone for green graphics too. mine started out like this

then changed it to this before painting it grey/orange

each to their own i guess

    Re: 172 turbo project

Wouldn't it be cheaper, quicker and less hassle to fit 195/45's?

I nearly said previously that the tyres looked to be 50 profile and that the wheels seem to be further out into the arches than normal (as they are only 6.5j and don't usually cause issues). I had wondered if you had spacers or a Williams wide-track conversion??

    Re: 172 turbo project

hya mate yeah i surpose it would be alot cheeper to fit 45s and iv got 406 brembo 4pots so had to use 25mm spacers thats why the wheels are further out haz is looking threw me loom soon so once thats done im asking him to make me wider arches like the ones on glenns 5 think it makes them look better aswell as clearing me tyres

Warren project is looking good, is that pipe feeding the tank ok for usage with fuel?? love the idea though

I have been thinking about some perspex rear quarters with Naca duct's for air flow into the rear engine making some special holes into the rear side cover's

    Re: 172 turbo project

looks like it, i would be a little worried!!! although i cant talk myself having slapped a fuel cell in the front end, anyway is there a non return type valve/flap built into that neck of the cell, i wouldnt like to have a roll in it if not or a hard shunt, that fuel will be going everywhere that tubing is'nt rated for fuel either, dont want to be negative or picky, but it looks a little unsafe, tnt ross did something along these lines, but used alloy pipe instead,

just my 5 pence worth on whats so far been a great build

    Re: 172 turbo project

merlin motorsports do fuel proof bends
    http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/FU...153/index.html

and a length of alloy pipe to do the run between fuel cell and window, with swagged ends if you want something close to what youve got already

you will also need a breather pipe of your cell, if you havent already got one

does your cell have a built in swirl pot /bowl at the bottom where it draws the fuel from?
if not you may need to fit an idependant swirl pot to the system, if you are intending to do any cornering or heavy breaking etc ie track time

The tank that I have got there is nothing wrong with but because iv put the fuel pipe up to the window I need a fuel one way valve to stop the petrol cumming out ov the tank and also need a new tube because the one iv got isnt for petrol
