Uprated rockers / roller rockers
Just wondering,
I'm big into aircooled VWs and previously minis and on all of them that I've owned I've fitted higher ratio rockers.
I've never heard of anyone supplying them for a c1j. Has it ever happened? Anyone built their own?

Some lad on the facebook r5gtt owners group was making some, they were over £200 a set and he couldnt sell them...
The question is do you need roller rockers? I know that they are good but ive never broken an o.e one, i dont think glen did on his engine either?

assuming higher ratio rockers push the valves open further... i bet it costs less to get a decent cam for a c1j than a set of roller rockers.

1.5 rockers for an A series engine are roughly £120 and provide a higher lift. Like a mild cam swap essentially.
The beauty of it being that you're not having to pull the engine to fit them.
Don't suppose you have a link do you Brigsy?

I'd be worried the likelyhood of bending pushrods was be increased. Rockers were never a weak point even at 8700rpm in Glenns engine, just pushrods and retainers failed a lot and needed uprating.

I've used a set of these rockers in my engine re-build on T-Cup HERE.
Keep an eye out on that thread to see how they work out?!
