Re: megasquirt
Those renault sensors don't produce much output at crank speeds, lots of standalone struggles with them. One trick to test for this is to remove one bolt from the sensor and push the sensor down as close to the flywheel as you can before it scrapes. It makes about 20% more signal at 250rpm crank speed.

Re: megasquirt
it doesn't spin really fast. i have a replacement trim pot which probably doesn't do what it has to do. unfortunately the electronics dealer doesn't have it in stock so'll have to wait till new year
also i have a peugeot vr sensor atm and it pushes out a lot more current then the Renault item. 3v vs 1v

Using Scoff's sensor with my EDIS setup and closing the gap from 1.5mm to about 0.9mm ju ped my cranking voltage from 1.2v to 2.5v!
Nice Lego setup Tutuur! Whatever works...
Schwartz, great to hear your problems are sorted now! I'm still having issues but think it's Carb related now? I'll pull the carb off and take a look and go from there.

Lol, it was what i had at hand first! Now have a v2 with the peugeot crank sensor though. The sensor is strapped down with a zip tie and put some stabilisation lego bars to the triggerwheel fork
