Another Day At The 5 Office (afrs now)
hi all, managed to get the spare carb setup drilled, put it on mikes 5 and the carb wouldnt sit below 1500 rpm but mike tested anywayz 120 main 1.0 ac 1.2 2nd the afrs were abit on the lean side but as it wouldnt tick over i decided to do carb on there, original 140 main (meassured now not the 150 as beleived) .9 ac 1.0 2nd i didnt want to remove top as we didnt have a gasket so i made it 120 main .9 ac then drill 2nd to 1.2 put back and then had to clean idle jet mikes drove and the wont wot as the afrs are shooting up past 13s quick we dont want to det would a air leak in the plentum O ring cause these high reading we dont want to drill anymore yet or wot, ordered a carb kit and some o rings from mike to pick up at surrey meet wednesday, btw the he says it drives lovely on cruise now as the 120 main aint so rich any input will be greatly appreciated as usual thanx mick

sounds like you may be drawing air in somewhere if your struggling to get the idle down. give the inlet/carb area a spray with some brake cleaner it may show something up.
