Use your finger.
I second Andy, fingers around the plate/flywheel
i found a 1/2" extention bar done the trick
I used a sealey one this morning, cost me £2 brand new from Maccess
cool beans, got the modified clutch cover done, just waiting on the 4 puc helix friction plate to tutn up and it should be back on the road, will upload a pic of the mess that was caused by a release bearing falling apart, nearly 2 weeks its been off the road cant wait to take her for a ragging
I used a screwdriver with my Datsun last year, clutch fitted sweet as a nut.
i usually wrap some tape around an extension bar untill
i get the desired thickness , oh errr ....

fingers . you can't do better than fingers . feel alround the plate to make sure it is equal alround the pressure plate . then nip up the bolts . job done .
