Good work fella! Ur not wasting any time!
Are they genuine or aftermarket sills?
ok so set off at 6:30am this morn on the 250 mile journey to caerphilly in wales for some front seats! they didnt sell on ebay at 99p no reserve, so i msgd him after the auction and got them for free!! the bloke (marttn, not sure if hes in the club) thought i was mad for travelling so far... they are mint, except the foam has gone on the drivers seat leg bolster, so plan to replace the foam at some point
and on the way home i called to wolverhampton to a member on here called Carl, he sorted me some rear seats for a very good price of 40 quid very nice bloke who i plan to use in the future he has lots.of.parts new and used!
heres a pic
Bargain!
Glad to see this car getting the love it deserves.
Result mate! Good work. 250 mile round trip is hardcore enthusiasm.
You'll sleep well tonight! Fair play to u though mate. Tip of the cap
Casper did u buy your 5 from a lad called Chris by any chance?
Ah right. A mate Chris had a G plate tungy and he lived in Guildford. Thought it might have been his old one. It was in near mint condition
Mines fisheads old car.
ok so while i wait for some inner sills off ashy iv had time to freshen up the engine bay some more... samcos and a baileys d/v.... thanks to the club members on here for selling me them cheap
next up is fitting the wideband kit, turbo heatshield, cup mod, heat wrap exhaust and service the carb and i think its about done engine wise.
Yeaaaaah boii!!' Looking sexual healing.
Looking good mate keep up the good work
managed a few hours today so welded a few areas... all thats left now is passenger inner and outer sill
car should be ready in a few weeks, iv removed the carb to service it, ordered dizzy cap and rotor arm, genuine clutch cable, new throttle cable, engine service, amongst other things to do.. im just replacing items that could or look like they could fail... looking forward to April
looks good dude
If that's a piston d/v for goodness sake get rid. Not because it's a d/v, but because it's the piston type. Can't be bothered to type out why.
Also, if you haven't already replaced that seat bolster (and just in case you didn't already know), the inner bolster from a passenger seat (i.e. which are usually mint), will fit on the driver's outer side exactly...
