The problem with Zincs refurbing is that they will need alot of care to protect them after... Hoolio your car was kept in a carcoon to help protect it back in the day, they really do help to protect the rubbers, zincs etc from perishing, corrosion etc...

I am sure there is a gel/wax you can put on the zinc to help protect them to...

    Re: gimme 5 resto

    quick update
started to sort out the common problem of sagging rear quater trims

first i peeled fabic back and cleaned up all loose material

then refitted using aerosal spray glue ,note only spray small area at a time so you
    can work material into shape

finished result, job did'nt take long and just makes that bit of difference

    happy days

    That looks so nice!

I wish, so much that I hadn't had my car painted a non standard colour! I'd much prefer a 5 like this!

Did you just use any adhesive glue for it? Done mine on my old BMW (RIP) and didn't come out too well, might have been the material which I was trying to stick as was very thing and the adhesive was heavy duty might not have helped

Its all about the details and you sir are the detail king.

Top job, stuff like re-sticking the fabric on the rear quaters is somthing most people wouldnt even think of, and re-spraying the back of your rear bench (a part that probably you will only ever see) Defo one of the best examples of a GT on here.

tackeled fabric that was lifting around drivers door card, this was actually harder to do than back trims, but well worth it,just need to valet it now when weather gets better
