Good morning one and all,
I hope those of you who are attending ND 2012 have made it there safe and sound.
Spoke to Marky Mark briefly last night and was pleased to hear there had been no dramas. I wish I could have been there with you guys but we are on our annual summer holiday.
Have lots of fun on the track and even more off the track...... I hope all your hard work on your cars has paid off. I would like to thank you all for your support throughout the year.
The reason Barbara and I are not able to attend this year is that we were invited to help out with the sea trials on Barbara's brothers yacht, in between my brother getting married, as we would not have normally missed this event as we have always had a great time attending in years past.
For anyone interested, or for those of you who are seafarers, please have a look at the following website - I am sure I can arrange an RTOC discount:
www.deepblueyachting.co.uk
This is Barbara's brother's yacht which he has spent the last 12 years restoring. It is available for charter around the Ionian Islands.
Have a great weekend, will be there in mind and spirit if not body!
We return on the 14th August and it will be business as usual.
Many thanks
Mike

Well I had a great day today met some great people and saw some crazy track action didn't brave the track today as my so called newish turbo is knackerd again!! Anyway got new ideas for the 5 newer turbo good track suspension (suggestions on a card pleas) had a go on the roll n road and got 154bhp at 16psi I'm happy with that to say we did it in our own garages :-) saw some great motors and learnt alot about this club today.. Worst bit decided to give it some on the way home past rufford park and went round a bend full boost and guess who was there?? Mr pc and his t5 crew... I carried on up the road and less than a minute later mr pc was up my tail pipe pulled me over and gave me a real toasting!! Thankfully "he had better things to do than piss about with me" and his last words was "but it's a nice car though" any way back home safe and inspired for the future.. Thanks to all the rtoc committee for organising blyton..
Really dont want coilovers as its my everyday any suggestions.. Very impressed with all the 5s on track and very impressed with the frenchies coming all the way over here..
Great day..
as above, had a great time again at the RTOC national day
good to see so many projects reaching finishing stages and nice to see so many F7PT lumps up and running!
had a blast on track, met some excellent new people and caught up with the old too so all in all, winner
and icing on the cake, free RR power run, truly superb little treat from RTOC comittee, spot on once again!
Coops
im still buzzing from the weekend . to say it was the best nat day ive been to would be an understatment . the only down side was the cost of getting there but thats not the rtoc's fault
absolutly loved the track . you could drive it as a novice and have some fun , but it was difficult to get it right for a realy fast lap. showed up some tunning isues ive neaver seen before with my car and i had pleanty of time to eather sort them out or thnk about what i need to do next for the camparse. i def got the handling sorted. dam thing is like a go kart now. handling is so good i was getting fuel probs with anything less than half a tank (im now working on a fuel cell to solve this). as for the smoking i was putting out, a new breather sys is being worked on to solve this.
as for the overal event .. not at any time did i feel like i did not know what was going on and the times of things happening. (thanks to steve bellowing out and waliking through the camp site,, (ps steve ive got a megga phone for you to borrow next year)
for those that did not go .. ha ha ha ha you missed a good un
So we enjoyed last year who is actually going this year? What are you hoping for and wanting to see? I personally can't wait to see all of you and your classic Renault turbos there this year.. We hope to see you there.. Lets start a list..
1.nottswoody hoping for close to 200bhp and track action
