got an armtec limiter on the 5, but want something with just a hard cut...
anyone know of any without delving into the realms of EFI and ecu's etc.

is there any advantage between the armtech to the hard cut limiter ??
the omex one has the hard and the soft cut option....
Why would you want a hard cut over a soft cut?
for ****s and giggles and pops and bangs i guess
oh
is now a good time to say my automatic micra is up for sale?
Has Mart's FAIL boat just docked at the pie and mash shop?
Bill, before you fall even further down that FAIL-hole, give up now mate. I assure you there was never a rev limiter fitted to the raider...
And that wouldn't be a hard-cut anyway, would it?
I swear there was. I remember you and JP both doing it, it was back when I first met you. Then when I was following you over the Dartford crossing on the way home you hit the limiter and your exhaust did a Bunsen Burner impression, which well impressed my mate
I can hear the failboat horns Billy...
After reading this thread I still have no idea what hard/soft cut rev limiters do apart from buggering up your motor?
Maybe its the boy racer in me from back in the day but I gotta say that looks/sounds cool.
And if I understand it right the Bee R Limiter is a two stage limiter so when the handbrake is on (or any added switch) the limiter comes in at a lower RPM. So you can set the first stage to optimum RPM to launch.
Never really read into this so Im going googling!
Can it work with a carbed engine?
Maybe Im still tired but how can it cause damage?
oh no, rev limmiters are un cool now ?
I insisted on having one in my C1J after the linkage under the carb popped out and locked the throttle wide open one time, killing the bottom end at 9000rpm (it went off the 9000rpm tacho scale!!) as I dipped the clutch just after the finish line.
I used it a lot with flat shifting, without a clutch switch, just as a limiter. I didn't do this with the 16v engine in fear of shafting the gearbox, I'll be back on the limiter again next year
On my old engine the valve head it self broke off and destroyed the engine could my armtech limiter had anything to do with this?
Dilley Blackout:[dil-eblak-out] - Noun
A) a period of total memory loss, as one induced by an accident or prolonged alcoholic drinking: The patient cannot account for the bizarre things he did during his blackout.
B) a moment when a KNOWN Fact about Mart The Failboat Captain Dilley is totally refuted by him but then proved to be totally owned at a later date.
Example: "I Don't own a Blue Jumper?!" "I Don't know what your on about?"
