    turbo timer imobiliser problems

    New poster! (less than 10 posts)

    Hi i had a new alarm fitted on my 5 and the imobliser kicks in as soon as i lock my doors, but i want to fit a turbo timer, any1 no anyways of getting around these things? The alarm is a cobra

    Hi, if you wire turbo timer into ignition loom before the connection of cobra alarm ignition sense wire. It will allow turbo timer to time out and alarm to self arm afterwards.

    Would i still be able to use the central locking because when i lock the doors the alarm activates instantly? will the alarm still set but the imobiliser is just delayed by the turbo timer?

    TBH, alarm/imobilisers and separate turbo timer units do not go well together...

    See if the alarm you have has a t/t function? (my viper does on the Skyline)
