Its here!
Scoff - Do these look like the maps you left it with? ie, does it look mapped properly? The lump was dying when my bud bought it, it blew up again after that too and now its got a nice lump with very low mileage in im not taking any risks (expect a visit soon!)
Reason I ask is that I dont wanna go ripping it apart looking for system issues if the map is a POS.

I know it seems a crime having it outside but i'd have to kick my 9 or 21 out of a garage, and lets face it, that aint happenin!
I have no way of knowing if it's the same map dave, my memory isn't that good Initial glance tells me there is much too much timing in there for B18FT. I wasn't able to complete a real tune because of the water pressurising problems it had at higher rpm, so unless it's been tuned it'll still be a base map.
Thats all the info I was after bud, thanks. It had those water pressuring problems on arrival at the owner Matt sold it to (which he tried to cover up), and was the cause of the first rebuild after just 5 miles
That would also explain why it went bang the second time
Hope to get it in for MOT this week, be seeing you soon
looking forward to seeing it dave
Shame you cant bring it to FCS, I think I'll be there with Andy and his rear engine Clio, would have been nice sat along side it
lol good old matt
i still have the performance gti mag if the new owner wants it
I bought the Clio of Matt owned it for about 2 yrs and sold it. It went back up north to a friend of the originally builder Matt black.. Who removed the engine and I seen the shell on pistonheads a few months back for £800.. The shell was so weak after Matt got the angle grinder to it
Now for sale:
