a trip to efi-parts
i know its not a 5 but thought i would put a vid up of my s2000 that replaced my 5,it started out as a tottaly standard,24,000 mile s2000,that soon changed,after a month of ownership i ordered a tts rotrex s/c kit,aem ecu,dms 76r full 3" exhaust/manifold,750cc injectors,aem fuel rail and fpr.
i origanlly had it mapped by someone else, where it made 364bhp@10psi,and i wasnt 100% happy with the map,so i took to scoff
the final outcome was 420bhp@13.5psiand a much better map

Re: a trip to efi-parts
You can see the vtecs effect quite well on the graph, from 150 to 200 quite a jump. Is it dificult to map around that effect?

Re: a trip to efi-parts
Thanks steve
The AEM deals with vtec a bit cruedly, just a single % enrich, which seems to have a delayed effect so you're left with a bit of a squiggle in the AFR. You don't feel it though.

Re: a trip to efi-parts
Incase anyone wonders, that roughness between 2000 and 3500rpm is actually the dyno, not the car. The engine doesn't really fluctuate 25hp ! For some reason on some cars the dyno screws up at low power output, ie the start of the plot. It's a closed-loop thing. Superflow sent me a new set of config files to improve it (it must be a common complaint!) but it hasn't helped much.

good going, the honda engines seem to take some serious abuse.
