    Seat Ibiza Cupra R

Apparently a rare model, looks nice, and with 240bhp i bet it's quick. What do people think of these?

My mate had a Leon with the same engine, I can ask but I think he started fitting Merc coil packs as they were more reliable. Not that expensive but he sure went through them!

Certainly something to consider, at least there's a working alternative. I've seen Leon's and they certainly look ok but imagine the Ibiza to be more nimble

£190 a corner! Just got some toyo T1R 225/40/18 for my Leon cupra r for £89 a corner from camskill. IMO the Leon is a much beta car and more power as standard, plus I e had mine for a while now and not had any probs with coil packs but there are uprated versions now so it's not an issue anymore, plus a cheap remap, filter, exhaust, and turbo inlet pipe can see you around the 260-270bhp mark

I think I put the wrong profile size in the search

My local tyre place are showing Continentals at £133 each fitted. But this is on the Leon, the Ibiza looks to have 17s. For 4k it looks like all the work has been done, he's gonna send some interior pics. Looks like its caged up

definatley go for a cupra r! Used to like the ibiza but i think ive grown up since having my boy and like bigger cars now lol. But i think its pretty pointless when you could have the bigger leon. And like above more power standard. And easily tuneable. I may be biased as i have the cupra r running 270ish bhp. Its nice and quick.

And have recently been stung for 2 18" pirellis up front not cheap.

Leon IMO is too big for me personally, the Ibiza in that classifieds ad looks just right for track, sprint etc and had most if not all the mods done. To buy a Leon then modding it is out of financial range.

What is the std BHP for the Ibiza Cupra R 180, 225?

    Re: Seat Ibiza Cupra R

A good custom remap good flow exhaust and front mount will show figures around 240/250 from a 1.8t 180.

Im running forge fmic/miltek system/4bar fpr and a few other Tweeks with a custom code remap and I'm seeing a little over those figures from a 180

Rich, if you want to sprint an 1800 cc turbo car, I think you will be classed as a 2,6.
Forced induction increases capacity by 40%, you will be playing with some of the big boys.....

flashing an rs4 out the way lol.
rods need to be uprated at about 300 ft lbs i think. not sure if youd get any where near that on the k03/s turbo though. definatley good info on seatcupra.net

225bhhp is the k04 turbo bam engine and another engine code but i forget which one.

I see around 290 ftlbs on standard internals on an AUQ 180, I'm running a k03s and it seems to pull all the way round. I do know i'm pretty much over the capabilitys of the k03s

So the power that Ibiza is running seems ok for what it is spec wise?

It's well known that the k03s runs out of puff at around 230-240. With all the parts fitted and the custom map id say the 240hp stated would be near on true

The only thing i'm not running on that list is the race cast manifold engine wise.

I may well have a k04 or a k03s hybrid fitted as im putting out more power so makes me think my turbo's different. If it is a k03s then ive blown the mith of it running out off puff at those hp figures people state it can handle.
