    Removing Distributor

If i remove the distributor to give it a clean etc does it affect the timing etc for when I put it back in?

Or is it a case of just sliding it back into position and putting the bracket back on that holds it down??

    Thanks

Taking it out and removing its fine. it can only go in one way as the notch is slightly off centre

Thankyou very much good advice as ever.

Still not fitted those engine mounts yet but I am nearly there!

Is it good practice to pop an old distributor in, attach it to a drill and spin it, just to prime the engine up after a rebuild?

Take the plugs out and turn it over on the starter, this should prime it up just fine.
