EBS Cabriolet
New poster! (less than 10 posts)
Hello,
Does anyone know if the outer sills on a ebs converted renault 5 gt are the same as a standard 5 turbo? Not sure if they are different in any way?? I know they put strengthening bars in but think they are on the inside of the car???
Gotta get new front wings inner and outer sills and a bonnet

Re: EBS Cabriolet
I'm sure they'll be the same, EBS won't have gone to the trouble of changing anything with the sills, I think you'll just have an extra box section or similar welded on the inside of the inner sill, IE inside the car. Maybe someone with a cab can confirm but I'll be suprised if they're altered in any way !

Yep got extra box sections welded inside the car.
I havent had the skirts off mine yet but i know the extra box section is inside the car.
Looks to be about 2"x1" roughly.

Re: EBS Cabriolet
I've probably fitted every brand there is over the years, they all seem much of a muchness, you just use as much or as little of it as you need. Often you can get away with welding in just below the swage line so you dont distort the top edge where the sideskirt sits.
Theres a few places that list them, they don't always have them, mike is the guy to speak to

Re: EBS Cabriolet
Ashy does inner sill repair panels if they're really dead, or if you just need to replace sections of the bottom lip (usually the case) then 30mm x 2mm steel strip, the likes you get from B&Q are ideal once you've cut out the dead stuff.

Hi mate,
As Scoff says let me know if you need any Inner Sill panels, rear bumper brackets or side skirt clips.
