I'm sure both myself & James5 have dayco belts on our F7P's & the lines are spot on with the markings.... Can't see why an F7R would be different..
Cam marks are both up & the bottom pulley is down IIRC, there are marks on all 3 & the belt & as you say there is a TDC hole in the block, you have to be sure you have it in the locking gap & not a balance hole though....
I assume that you have turned it by hand & it doesn't clash ? If so it's deffo an odd one.
