    1 way valve failure

i just killed a turbo on my 5 and it appears to be starved of oil. i am getting no oil from above the 1 way valve in the line but if i remove it i get good flow. are these known for failure and are they worth replacing or removing altogether?

have you had any problems since removing it as the turbo wont be primed?

no just give the car a chance to warm up before you drive her as your suppose to anyways after about 10secs there will be plenty of oil going though then

    Re: 1 way valve failure

no it wasnt the newest unit.
i killed a new t28 after 100 miles. thought it was a blocked inline filter,i then ran a stock unit without a filter to flush the oil and killed the t2 just as quick, i then removed the oil lines and found the cause. thanks god it wasnt another t28 as im nearly a grand in and back to square one but on the plus side i think i have found the cause and the new unit will be ready by next week i hope so im undecided whether to get a new 1 way valve or do without it

    Re: 1 way valve failure

I binned mine thousands of miles ago! Gained 5psi oil pressure aswell. Also my oil pressure gauge still rises at exactly the same time as it used to with it removed (my gauge is fitted above where the valve is), no need to panic. Hardly any turbo cars have them fitted.

    Re: 1 way valve failure

cheers chaps its now removed. next problem is i am gushing out oil now as i cant get the joints to seal as my adaptor for my oil take off has the wrong thread pattern. does anyone know the thread size on the 1 way valve so i can get the right adaptors please.
the gauge has a adaptor like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Peugeot-205-GT...item519937dce4 which i can bolt intot he banjo but i need a male/male adaptor to join that into my braided hose.

1/8 npt is the fitting for the senders for aftermarket gauges. Phoned around but everywhere is clOsed today.
