    Ignition problems

    Car starts ok but when i turn the key to switch it off the engine continues to run. any ideas? cheers

    have you bridged your fuel pump relay to get it working?
    this is what can happen if you do that to it. - seen it before , you can removed the key too, and the car still runs!

    checked that, its ok, new relay in fact. any other possibilities?

    how long does it run for? this happened when i did the volvo conversion, turns out i had the wrong wire connected to the alternator from the loom and it kept giving power. Cant see how you could have done this but worth a shot

    im sure some sorta problem with a wire attatched to the alternator can do this, my dad told me it used to happen alot but ive never experienced it so never had to look in to it/fix it.
