    Technical implications of changing tyre size...

    With the tyre situation so desperate, one of the options is to move away from 195 55.

    185 60 seems too high - looks very balloon-like.

    Seriously considering 185 55 - it seems there are some nice Toyos in this size, Dunlops too.

    Anyone got any experience/comments?

    Hey mate,

    I've just bought 2 x Toyo TR-1's from Camskill.
    They're on a special atm I think still at £29 each.

    Great tyres from my experience, they are on the front of my 5.
    Seems to handle very well. Good price aswell aye?

    If you look on camskill they do a 195/45/13, continental I think, I am seriously cosidering these, I had them before years ago & loved them... make the car a bit low if it's dropped though so be aware.

    I have 2 used uniroyals andrew... should have a 3rd if Mart ever gets to me...
