ok it is as bad as it sounds, i am running the b18ft in my clio rsi, its running 10psi with the standard gearbox mount, standard upper mount and a solid dogbone mount. 2 weeks ago i think the bolts in the top mount worked there way loose and the engine was found with one bent bolt out of the three holding it up, after closer inspection the cam pulley and bolt had been wearing away the mount whilst it was on the funny angle. the cam pulley bolt has worn down abit.
After drilling the snapped bolts out, i refitted the mount with slightly shorter bolts approx 7mm shorter (all i had at time) with locktight blue. they still went in atleast 7 turns. i kept checking the mount and it was always flush up to the engine, but never checked wether the bolts where tight
tonight i was going round a corner and as i put power on i heard a snap as tho a drive shaft had snapped and then cudnt select gears properly or drive it. i opened the bonnet and the upper engine mount looks as tho its ripped the bolts out cracking the cylinder head of the upper bolt, as its external and probably the weakest.
i dont have a clue wat im doing wrong as the bolts always got tightened up well. whilst driving after the first snap i did notice a mibration above 4k, i think this cud be the cam pulley bolt but really not sure.
help or advice please, i also need a cylinder head if any one has one
thanks
adam
