Andys alright, met him a few times, seems like a sound bloke.
And yes, he works for KTEC now.
he charged my mate 2k to 'map' his clio 16v with a 172 engine, and make a few brackets out of scrap. never met the bloke but he did my friend over hard!
i spoke to andy quite a bit on msn hes a really nice bloke very helpfull

Another case of a tuner taking the piss, I hate the ba$tards especially the ones in the renault tuning game, most sell sub standard parts that you dont need out of pony materials. Never ever use them again for anything, I would rather make it myself.
The exactly the same story can also be said about Angelworks....they used to be big on the renault tuning scene but ended up shafting alot of customers bigtime
Happened quite a few years ago from what i remember, there were some simply shocking threads about what they did to their last few customers.
Ben who ran the show tbf did know his shizzle regarding building engines and mapping, and his white clio 16v that he had as a demo car running on throttle bodies was a weapon (will try and find a youtube vid of it)
He built up alot of respect on cliosport spending hours helping others and had a post count of like 17,000.
to cut along story short, after a few years in business he lost all interest in the tuning scene and abused peoples trust, robbing people of alot of money
so what companies do yous lot use for performance parts
i take it everybody still uses k-tec
to be honest most people on here DIY it with help from other members on here, the info you can get off here is probably better than whats available at tuners
ive only used ktec once in 8 years ownership and that was for a side exit exhaust and it was a straight forward transaction, but i mostly used ep motorsport in stoke(ceased trading) and they were good from my experience and parts were from gsf
the best thing you could of done is join up on here, save yourself alot of money from going tuners, get your hands dirty and you will learn things along the way

Does that mean I invented it before he did
No I just used one from some other car. Was there anything other that recycling back then?
That was before GT Tuning was selling £15 Ford dump valves for £150 to 5GTT owners.

Don't make me MAD, turbo pacs what a tosser that guy is, I took my 5 in to get the tappets done and carb set up, next thing I know, I get a phone call to say he had carried out 300 quids worth of tests and the engine is nackered?? and then wanted 1300 quid to fix it! Anyway after a week of him not letting me have my car back and a few threats I got the car home,where bert and ashey fixed it for less than a fiver, in 10 mins, it never missed a beat untill I sold it, mat I wish you got hold of him that day, I would have paid you
