something i had thought about was the bushs in the torsion bar/ rearbeam assembly.
the ones i'm talking about are the big rubber donut ones as my car failed it's mot on these being perished, what it actually said is they're f***ed. the garage looked into getting them from renault, they rang back a couple of days later saying they had tracked down 3 in a warehouse, in france and i'd have to buy 2 at about £100 each so £200+labour to refurb the rear beam. ended up getting a second hand beam.
rang powerflex direct asking if they made them and had no idea what i was talking about. most people have changed their front bushs now so being as most of our cars are 20 years old these may be something that will need looking at in the near future, maybe.

I know a Renault main dealers with loads of OE Gear knobs in stock, they are about £40!
and of the cups of shock absorber?
kind that which certain member one!
---> like that if:
camshafts, followers, vernier pulleys? Group buy of those 3 should provide good discounts.
Think this post is more about getting parts which aren't available anywhere rather than a group buy.
It was mentioned in another thread by someone else but I would be really interested in the bumper inserts. However I guess not many other people would be.
Also I know you can still buy them but I would have thought if someone could make up a kit of all the solid brake lines for a good price then quite a few people would be interested ?. Well certainly the people like me who are too lazy to do it themselves.
Rubber front bumper insert's would come in handy for me to...
You talking about the plastic bumper blocks or the strip around the edge?
Didn't realise the front blocks are sort after, should have sold them for more, lucky still got one set for me plenty of rear ones though.
Sorry i meant rubber strips... although i need blocks to... but there easily available 2nd hand.
Sorry if I was unclear, I meant the rubber strips also.
how about the oe case/bag that holds the jack/wheel brace?
get a nice leather item made up..!!

how about some "elf renault" stickers for the boot window, nice and easy
Raider rear window stickers
How about carbs? i know some new ones still float about but.... New run of them from solex
im pretty sure someone would be able to make a new carpet set up for the 5's i know companys do brand new ones for the mk1 golf gti and they are a lot more awkward to mess about with than the 5 as they go up behind the dash,
you can get brand new carpets for the old minis too ?
this really would be amazing
also surely there is a company that would be able to get hold of the material that goes over the door cards? or something extremely similar?
if this is possible we could send our old ones off with the material removed and have the new fitted ? what do you reckon?
after fitting my new dials this week i am keen to see whats next :-) excellent work so far guys
i know that if there was a brand new carpet for sale or door cards people would go mad for them these are the easier way to 1 keep us lot happy as we all get the benefits and our cars mint and 2 how small may it be help britains smaller companys keep going :-)
my moneys waiting for the next group buy :-)
Do feel free to start a group buy yourself, it doesn't just need to be the club running them
GTA roll cages anyone ??
New poster! (less than 10 posts)
hi there, i run a company specialising in composite molding, i would be happy to have a go at reproducing the door and rear quarter cards if there is enough interest, we have done molded door cards for several different cars in the past, generaly they have been custom items for audio installs, but no reason why we couldnt just reproduce the original cards shape, they would be a direct replacement made from a polyester/glass composite with fixing points to allow the use of the standard renault door card fixing clips and made to take the original renault speaker grills
only problem would be getting a corded pattern covering like the originals as it is practicaly impossible to cover by hand with that type of material without the cord lines looking wonky as it will stretch to accomodate the shape of the part, also coverings dont tend to stick well unless it is machine pressed in place and stuck with a catalysed adhesive.
i could flock them in the same color as the original cards though for a durable and attractive finish
i would expect cost of them to be somewhere around £250 - £300 for a pair of door cards and a pair of rear quarter cards in a professionaly flocked finish,
any interest ???
