not bad gettin 259 or 260 bhp from them mods..... ive practicaly got them mods minus the flamer kit!!!! lol! im somehow down about 100 bhp if that the case i could believe 259 with them mods but no way 260 gee gees. lol! dreamer.
this is my car forsale and it genuinly is running 260bhp,
i had the 5 on a dyno with a big fan blowing cold DENSER air into the air filter. i also had the boost set to 21psi, also if you new ANYTHING about flamer kits you would know that the main reason tunners fit these to turbo cars is that if you have them running at the same time as boosting they created a better flow by igniting the un-burnt fuel creating much greater back pressure thus spinning the turbo at a much greater rpm
also with the group A carb i was able to get the fuelling spot on due to the larger venturi, i also feel there is the potential for greater power gains from the turbo as it has been anadised allowing the turbo to be run at around 27psi via the in-car boost control, i would not advise this much boost though as my car does not have forged conrods.
i dont understand what the problem is as i have seen 5 turbos running at 300bhp which is more than capable from the c1g engines which these cars have.

how convenient. Everyone who claims big power looses their sheets. Sorry no offence, but we have all been around renault 5s to know what sort of power they will be running. And 260 is an extreme amount to claim. Seeming that there is only a handful actually running that amount and they have had time and experience to get there. Your eBay add just adds to the fact you dont know even what the engine consists of. If you had 260bhp you would be stating the full break down of that car. All you have stated to actually help increase power is the intercooler, and bleed valve. so on that note with the over fueling group A carb you will be running around 180-190 if your only running 21psi.
yes but with the copper core rad this gives far better temps increasing bhp, also with the flammer kit running causing back pressure this also adds greater bhp figures
along with the samco boost pipes whic compress far less than o.e pipes and the extra discharge the dump valve creates once again adds to much greater bhp.
260 is an exceptable figure to be gained from the c1g engine.

i dont understand what is so funny about the facts i have made. i have lots of experience with 5 turbos, i have also been a member of rtoc for a while and used lots of your input to build this car to its full potentil, but as i am going for a o.e look i just require a standard looking car.....if anyone is interested with a swap please pm me

no the c1j engine is fitted to the renault 5 turbo ph 1/2
the c1g was fitted to the turbo 2 which has far better conrods and apr bolts fitted allowing far greater flow. i wasnt aware that the engine had different valves, also the boost would be no diffeerent as this is dependent on what i set it as using the incar boost control

no i was going to have the low comp pistons fitted these would not be required as i am only running 21psi, anything over would require them

i have the same mods apart from your blue anodised turbo,....and i am only putting out 155bhp...all my parts are brand new and not a year old or so. i`ve been in this game for nearly 20 years....260bhp from your 1.4 engine mate? easily achived if you turn up your bigger turbo. No mention of any new pistons, liners, cam, crank etc. ITS ONLY GOING TO LAST ABOUT 2 HOURS, THEN IT WILL BREAK DOWN! BLOW UP!....ANYONE CONSIDERING THIS MOTOR SHOULD ALSO ASK FOR RECIPTS FOR ALL ENGINE WORK CARRIED OUT, (internals etc)....i would also like to mention that roland at gt tunning quoted me nearly 3k to carry out minor work...RIP OFF. i did it my-self with the help of cbg motorsport and saved 3k. roland said its essential to have his in car boost adjuster at a cost of £249.99 with £30 fitting...or he will not guarantee his work! £3k? IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL FOR THIS PART, AND DON`T LET GT TUNING TELL YOU OTHER WISE! it can also be purchased on ebay for £14.99.

im failing to understand where you got that bhp figure from! unless the rolling road is a load of cobblers hence producing inacurate results [wheelspin causes inacurate results]
the only way your going to get anyone believe you is that you produce some HARD eveidence.
if you knew something, one of the most acurate ways to calculate power figures is in real time ie, standing 1/4mile.

seems like youve been really misguided.! and to be honest it cant be through anyone with knowledge on this club.
i came to this club many years ago and knew absolutely nothing, ive now been rebuilding these engines with ease many times over [pics on profile] and this is due to the input of members who know EXACTLY what there talking about.
a car that needs a alternator, and that does not run (read item descreption on ebay) wont even produce 1bhp. how is the buyer suppose to know what he or she is buying?? many people claim all sorts of bhp, they are usually lying, dont trust word of mouth. the proof is in the paperwork. 260bhp!!!with hoses, carb and blue turbo etc? i dont think so, and if it has a valid print out, i doubt it, the car will last about 2 hours
im running 120 psi at my tyres lol not including me spare lol
